What is Adoption?
Adoption is a means of providing children with permanency through a legal, social and emotional process which transfers rights and responsibilities from birth parents to adoptive parents.
To learn more about adoption or to begin the process, telephone, e-mail or come to the agency. The Ontario Ministry of Child and Youth Services provides specific requirements for the approval of adoptive applicants. An application, home inspection and a review of your financial, marital, and medical status will be completed in the initial phase. Five references for each applicant will be required, along with a criminal record check and agency record check.
