While Lennox and Addington Family and Children’s Services receives operating dollars from the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Ministry of Child and Youth Services for it’s core services, many of the services and programs that our agency provides to the community are only available through the generous support of our community.

Volunteers play a vital role in our work, supporting children and families in Lennox and Addington County. Whether as a Volunteer Driver who helps ensure a child is safely driven to a visit or medical appointment, or as a Special Friend who provides a positive role model for a young person, volunteers are play a large role in ensuring positive outcomes for children in our county.

All volunteers with LAFCS must be at least 18 years of age and will submit to a voluntary sector police check, possess a valid driver’s license, a clean drivers abstract and will receive ongoing orientation and training, at no cost, as seen fit for the volunteer role. Our volunteers are important to us and we ensure that they are recognized at least annually for their commitment.
