Volunteering
How do I become a volunteer?
Lennox and Addington Family and Children’s Services volunteers are part of a team that includes agency staff and foster parents. Volunteers' valuable contributions enable agencies to provide enriched services to children, youth and their families. Volunteers benefit from training, supervision and recognition for their contributions. Volunteers make a difference to the lives of Ontario’s children.
Volunteers play a vital role in our work, supporting children and families in Lennox and Addington County. Whether as a Volunteer Driver who helps ensure a child is safely driven to a visit or medical appointment, or as a Special Friend who provides a positive role model for a young person, volunteers are play a large role in ensuring positive outcomes for children in our county.
If you have the desire to make a positive, lasting impact in the life of a child or youth, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Laura-Lee Hogan at 613-354-9744 ext. 120, or click here to email lauralee.hogan@lafcs.org
All volunteers with LAFCS must be at least 18 years of age and will submit to a voluntary sector police check, possess a valid driver’s license, a clean drivers abstract and will receive ongoing orientation and training, at no cost, as seen fit for the volunteer role. Our volunteers are important to us and we ensure that they are recognized at least annually for their commitment.
